Back in February we visited Bourton on the Water. There is a lot to visit in a Bourton including Cotswold Motoring Museum, Birdland, The Model Village, and the Dragonfly Maze. Please note we did not visit these attractions and therefore cannot comment on the accessibility. The village itself however is accessible weather you are using a manual wheelchair or a power chair.

Accessible Information

Paths
These were all tarmacked around the village, including the bridges. There were also dips in the pavement. It’s steeper going onto the bridge but power chairs will find this accessible. You may need help in a manual.

Blue Badge Parking
There was no blue badge parking but there are spaces at Rissington Car Park but this was not open when we went.

Loos
There are disabled loos in the middle of the town. You need a radar key but it is fully accessible. The loos are located in the High Street. There are also disabled loos in

Cafe
It took several attempts to find a cafe that was accessible. We did eventually find one called Bourton Riverside Cafe. It has a flat entrance and downstairs restaurant

Bench
There were lots of benches dotted around Bourton especially around the river
